In 1997 AP and Goodrich were contracted by Boeing to serve as the primary ‘off load’ vendor for aircraft refinishing programs to allow for the completion of their heavy production schedule. This relationship between Boeing, AP, and Goodrich was so successful that Boeing awarded a “Certificate of Achievement to AP and Goodrich for Decorative Paint, Outstanding Supplier Performance”. While serving as primary supplier for decorative paint for Goodrich, AP painted the UPS Olympic schemes on a 757-200 and 767-300. Additional customer liveries, Korean Airlines, Lan Chile, All Nippon Airlines, and the very first British Airways Utopian livery, were also painted. Another notable example was Aeroflot’s incredibly complex new livery. This relationship lead Boeing to recommend AP and Goodrich Technical Services Aviation to Continental Airlines as the only aircraft refinishing company capable of successfully producing Continental’s Millennium 777 designed by world famous pop artist Peter Max.
